and Military is the biggest consumer of oil
oil prices obviously go up as a result
http://zfacts.com/p/361.htmlIf the war causes oil price to go up does that make every middle east country including Iran stronger?
Over the past several years, oil is up do the increase demand from China and India. When people buy products from China they are increasing the cost of gasoline. China's export business is what is causing its economy to grow so fast.
The recent spikes in oil is due to OPEC and spikes in ';oil futures'; (http://finance.yahoo.com/q/fc?s=CLN08.NY鈥?/a> ).If the war causes oil price to go up does that make every middle east country including Iran stronger?
Yes, at least our allies in Saudi Arabia have plenty to fund al-Qaida worldwide now, guys! They have more money to fund terrorist attacks! Of course, we have to attack Iran and establish martial law here at home in response!
It's not the war, it's a supply issue with China and India competing like never before, for that oil.
and richer.... I wish we would hurry up and come out with a new alternative that would allow us to stop depending on these people for our energy needs.
I may be way off base but my theory is that the Arab countries are realizing oil is all they have....so they better take advantage of it while they can. If they take all the money they are earning and squander it guess who will subsidize the fools....the most hated country as of now. The United States is in a no win situation.
And no....to answer your question. It does not make them stronger if the elite take the profits and buy a Mazzerrati.
Yes. Also, you cannot forget we have weak and inflated dollar, this also causes prices of gas to skyrocket. It'll be even dumber to attack Iran, because that will surely skyrocket oil over $200 a barrel! I think we need to withdraw from that region, and the Gulf nations and the Arab people would feel more secure to handle their agendas without our interference. Remember, before the war, oil was about $27 a barrel. We need to change foreign policy, and stop inflating our dollar.
Yes. The thing is we all told Bush and the Republicans that Gas could go as high as $8 a gal if Bush was to attack Iraq.
Well we are half way there. Now if he attacks Iran, well there you go.
Supply and demand, war has nothing to do with it...Opec will not increase production so they drive the price of oil up. They should reduce the speed limits back to the Carter days when we had an oil shortage, thats where the 55 came from we used to have. Reducing our speeds can save 20 to 30% in fuel so, yall slow down!
oil prices go up because there is more demand than supply. 20 years ago India and China were not competing for resources. There is also no additional mfg capacity, (refineries) thus, regardless of how much is pumped, only a finite amount can be processed.
Yes, the military is a consumer, as is law enforcement, airlines, etc.
