It has to do with Oil companies and their control over both parties and a lack of will on the part of our government to reign in their power and influence over them.





Both Obama and Bush pay such respect to Saudi Arabia and yet they are an oppressive monarchy with a long history of human rights abuses, but because of our addiction to their oil our leaders are reduced to kissing their @sses.How often does the price of oil nearly double for the holidays?
You'll see them go even higher now that Obama has put restrictions on domestic drilling. We're going to be even more dependent on foreign oil.





The retailers do have to switch over to the summer blend which does cost more. Also demand is up in the summer. There are a lot of factors. The one that really worries me is Obama restricting our own oil production.
I have no idea how much it doubles, but it seems to mysteriously rise around Fishing Opener, Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July or any weekend with good weather....
