America and the world is all about supply and demand. Oil is high in demand! It's getting expensive to fill up any tank these days. I ride a bike 20 miles every day back and forth to work. No parking fees and no gas useage. I find it is great. What have you done to fight back against the high price of oil?
My car is broke (not very technical, I know, but the exhaust is making horrible noises, put it that way) and I've refused to get it fixed. Partly because I have no money, but partly as some futile, 'power to the people', sit-in protest thing. What have you done to fight back against the high price of oil?
Bikes are great. Some people really need to get on their local governments about improving infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists. It's getting better around where I live, but it's still pretty pathetic.
This summer, I predict that every lawn without a sidewalk on it is going to have one of those skinny dirt trails running across it.
Carpool.
I am used to walking from my home to the university: about 3 miles per hour...
