I'm reading in the news that the price of oil has declined since Gustav hit, but I thought that hurricanes usually made prices go up?Why did the price of oil go down after Hurricane Gustav?
Because it did not do damage to the oil rigs in the gulf or to the refineries around Louisiana as was feared.Why did the price of oil go down after Hurricane Gustav?
They do, but after they pass they reopen the oil rigs in the gulf so the price goes back down.
